Finally I found the Coolutils msg converter which had a great deal many more functions including a previewer and ability to save to single pdf file, plus all at a reasonable cost compared to the others. I needed a tool to convert from msg to pdf and spent many days of tiresome searching, testing and evaluating the various available commercial programs. Update: The problem was solved on January 1 2020, it took more than 3 months but I can finally upgrade my server. I gave it but haven't heard anything since. At first I got a reaction when they asked for the ticket number. Update: I left a message on their facebook page on November 21. I opened a case on september 26, they stopped responding, my product still doesn't work. I would not recommend them, the moment you need support you can't count on them. In the meantime I also contacted their sales but no response there either so I payed for a product I can no longer use. When I asked what they meant by this I got no response. Our developers recommend to test the DLL. At first they seemed to try to solve the problem but after october 15 they stopped responding. I openened a support case with coolutils on September 26. (Also tested on 2012 and brand new installations) When testing everything pdfprinterX didn't work, I always got errors about a dll when printing from vbscript.
The software is good and does what it has to do but the support is afwul.Īs windows server 2008 is nearing EOL, I wanted to upgrade my printserver to windows server 2016. I am a long time (paying) user of pdfprinterX on windows server 2008.
